2008 WIN A BOWEN WEEKEND EXPERIENCE Contest

The following promotion is intended for play in the United States (excluding Colorado) and Canada only and will be construed according to US and Canadian law. Please do not enter if you are not located in the United States or Canada.
1. HOW TO ENTER
Contest begins on 1 May 2008 and ends on 30 September 2008. To participate, fill out the entry form in the 2008 Bowen Island Guide or enter online at: http://www.bowenisland.org/pages/tourismbowen/contests.php and you will automatically receive one entry. Entries become the property of Tourism Bowen (“Sponsor”) and will not be returned. 2. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.
3. ELIGIBILITY
Entrants must be legal U.S. or Canadian residents (excluding residents of Colorado) who have reached the age of majority in their province or state of residence as of May 1, 2008. Employees of Sponsor, its affiliates, marketing partners, suppliers, advertising or promotional agencies, and the immediate family members (mother, father, brother, sister, son, daughter, spouse) of, or persons residing in the same household as, any such person, are not eligible. All federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations apply. Void in Colorado, and where prohibited by law. Participation in this Contest constitutes Contestant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Contest Rules. Participants who do not comply with these rules are subject to disqualification.
4. PRIZES
There is one (1) prize available to be won, consisting of: one (1) round trip BC Ferries passage from Horseshoe Bay, West Vancouver, BC, Canada, to Snug Cove, Bowen Island, BC, Canada, for 1 domestic vehicle and driver and one (1) passenger; two (2) nights accommodation and breakfast for two (2) at the Lodge at the Old Dorm (Bowen Island, BC); one (1) two (2) hour treatment for two (2) at the Bowen Beauty Spa (Bowen Island, BC); one (1) 9 hole round of golf for two (2) at Bowen Island Golf Club (Bowen Island, BC); one (1) dinner for two (2), (not including alcoholic beverages) at the Tuscany Restaurant (Bowen Island, BC), and one (1) picnic lunch for two (2) from the Snug Café, Bowen Island. Approximate retail value is $850.00 CDN (approx. $846.11 US based on an exchange rate of 0.995). The prize may be substituted or altered in whole or in part for a prize of equal or greater value at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. No cash value. Reservations required. Taxes other than GST, if any, related to the prizes are the responsibility of the individual winner. All other costs and expenses associated with each of the prizes are the responsibility of the winner. If the winner does not wish to accept the prize as offered, the prize will be forfeited in its entirety.
5. SELECTION OF WINNERS
On or about 1 October, 2008, a random draw will be conducted by the Sponsor or its designee, the judges of the Contest, to select one (1) entry from all eligible entries received. Odds of winning are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received. The Sponsor or its representative will attempt to contact the selected entrants by phone once per day for five (5) business days. If any selected entrant can not be contacted after five (5) business days, or is contacted but is deemed to be ineligible in the Sponsor’s sole discretion, or unable or unwilling to comply with these rules, that selected entrant will be disqualified and another entry will be drawn. This process may be repeated until one (1) entrant has been declared the winner.
5A. For Canadian Residents Only: Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant must first correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time limited mathematical skill testing question to be administered by telephone at a time mutually convenient for the entrant and Sponsor or promotional agent of Sponsor.
6. NAMES OF PRIZE WINNERS

7. RELEASE
Within fourteen days of receipt thereof, the selected entrant will be required to sign and return the Contest Sponsor’s declaration and release form confirming compliance with Contest Rules and acceptance of prizes as offered; acknowledging the non-responsibility of the Sponsor, its agents, and the prize suppliers in respect to injuries, accident, loss or misfortune relating to the Contest or the awarding of the prize; and, except where prohibited, acknowledging the Sponsor’s and its agents’, subsidiaries’ or affiliates’ right to publish and/or broadcast the winner’s picture, name, address, voices, statements without further compensation other than the prize offered. If prize documents are not returned within fourteen days, prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.
8. ERRORS, ETC.:
The Sponsor is not responsible for (i) entries which are lost, late, incomplete, postage due, illegible, damaged, destroyed or misdirected; (ii) telephone, technical, network, online, electronic, computer hardware or software failures of any kind; (iii) incomplete, garbled or delayed Internet/e-mail computer transmissions on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof; (iv) any condition caused by events beyond its control which disrupts or interferes with the Contest; or (v) any injury, loss or damage of any kind arising out of participant’s participation in the Contest or the acceptance, possession or use of the prize, including without limitation any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest.
The Sponsor extends absolutely no representations or warranties in respect of the prize. If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond its control, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the electronic portion of the Contest, including canceling any method of entry, and randomly select the winner from previously received entries.
The Sponsor reserves the right to amend the terms of this Contest without prior notice if any factor interferes with its proper conduct as contemplated by these Rules.
9. MISCELLANEOUS:
Prizes are not transferable and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions, whether in cash or otherwise, except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equivalent or greater value if a prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason. Prize will only be awarded to verified winner. All decisions of the Sponsor or their authorized representatives are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an electronic entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person whose name corresponds with the owner of the email address accompanying the entry. Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity Contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation regarding the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
